Judith Kaufmann has been chief cinematographer since 1991. Her best-known films include the documentary "Nico Icon" (1995) as well as the feature films "Vergiss Amerika" (2000) by Vanessa Jopp, "Erbsen auf halb sechs" (2004) by Lars Büchel, "Fremde Haut" (2005) by Angelina Maccarone, for which Judith Kaufmann worked on the screenplay, and "Vier Minuten" (2007) by Chris Kraus. For "Elefantenherz" (directed by Züli Aladag) she received the Bavarian Film Award in 2003, and for "Scherbentanz" (2003) and "Die Fremde" (2010) she was awarded the DEUTSCHE KAMERAPREIS in both cases. Her more recent works include "Der Junge muss an die frische Luft" (2018), "Das Vorspiel" (2019) and "Räuberhände" (2021).
